Dr. Lami
Wealth Psychologist: Confidentiality
My work as a Wealth Psychologist involves touching upon some of the most sensitive topics in people’s lives. Some of my clients are in the public eye, others with high profile, and there are those who use pseudo names to protect their identity and maintain anonymity. I myself am a very private person and thus understand and respect people’s privacy and the importance of confidentiality.
Nonetheless, I am legally and ethically bound by the British Psychological Society and the US state and federal law, including APA and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and related regulations – to keep all of my client’s information and disclosure, confidential.
Thus, it is important for me to stress that all matters discussed with me are treated in complete confidence and with the utmost discretion.
Wealth Psychology: Approach
No two people and no two families are the same. As such, there can be no blueprint for my work. The needs of every client are unique. For this reason, my work is tailored to the specific needs of my clients.
This means that there is no “one-size-fits-all” formula for the work we do as every person and situation is unique. Each time I meet with clients, the primary purpose is to explore their challenges and to gain clarity about the issues at hand and their desired goals. Together, in a safe environment and with no-judgments, we explore the underpinning concerns, thoughts, feelings and issues to identify what process will best suit their needs.
In my work I wear different hats. There are times I act as a facilitator, coach, mentor, consultant and when required as a psychologist or therapist. I may facilitate family discussions helping clients to improve relationships between family members, couples, or children, as well as amongst family business members and family offices. As a Wealth Psychologist I guide my clients to understand themselves better, find solutions to their challenges and take actions. All while creating safe space and providing them with insights, tools and techniques that help them overcome barriers and achieve their goals.
