I myself come from a family business background and have experienced first-hand the impact that money has on our emotional and mental wellbeing and the quality of our relationships. Working through my own challenges, my experience and qaulifications have given me both a personal and professional understanding of the challenges faced by my clients.

I have worked in the field for more than eighteen years, helping individuals, couples, and families around the world address challenges created by their financial status, has rendered me international exposure in the field of wealth psychology & personal development.

I hold a Ph.D and MSc in psychology and I am also a board member and licensed clinical psychologist in the US, an APA Member (American Psychological Association) and chartered psychologist with the British Psychological Society.

Wealth Psychology: Philosophy and Approach

My work focuses on finding creative and relevant solutions to the non-financial challenges of wealth. I do so by facilitating, advising, educating and coaching clients to develop a deeper understanding of their respective mind-sets and the impact that emotional intelligence has on matters relating to wealth, relationships, parenting, family, planning and succession.

Emotional intelligence (EQ) has a direct impact on performance in every aspect of our lives. Just as our IQ determines our capacity to learn, EQ determines the quality of our relationships and our financial wellbeing.

“I have shared with you in one meeting things about me, more than I have shared with my wife in 50 years of marriage”

A client confides to Dr Lami

My clients have referred to me as a “Heart and Mind Alchemist”. The reason is that they have observed my skill at perceiving what lies below the surface. I see my clients’ greatness and empower them to create positive, long-term change. Unveiling inner dynamics helps clients break through limitations. And overcoming obstacles that stand in the way of accomplishing their goals.

No two people and no two families are the same. As such, there can be no blueprint for my work. The needs of every client are unique. For this reason, all of my work is tailored to the specific needs of the clients. Initially it involves meeting with clients for an informal conversation in a safe space to learn about their issues. More importantly, their lives and what matters to them. Then I put together a plan designed to serve their specific needs and our journey begins…

As well as the abundance of practical experience that I bring to my work, I hold:

    • A Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology
    • An MSc in Industrial Psychology
    • A license as a Clinical Psychologist with the California Board of Psychology
    • A license as a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society
    • A license as a Clinical Hypnotherapist.
